About Us

Although Scott grew up in town, Mary Ann lived on a farm in the country.  Scott supported Mary Ann as she pursued her need to live in the country and have a farm.

After Mary Ann tucked gardens into apartment courtyards and the backyard of a home in a subdivision, she tackled an enormous garden in Ridgeway, SC.  She made every novice weed management mistake possible, and she grew every vegetable and flower that she found interesting.  She also raised chickens for eggs and for meat, and was bitten by a copperhead snake.  You may find the details of the garden in Ridgeway in the “Blog” section of the website.

We moved to the property that would become One Hubcap Farm, in Blythewood, SC in 2018.  Since 2019, the farm has produced pastured pork, vegetables, eggs, and cut flowers.  In 2021 we switched to the exclusive production of cut flowers, which we sell to florists, designers, and to retail customers through bouquet subscriptions and you-pick events.

A few chickens for eggs sounds like fun, and they are, and eventually you find yourself watching the sun rise through the windshield as you navigate back country roads while hauling six pigs to the butcher.
