We wholeheartedly agree with you on the timing of planting tomato plants. We put out a limited, select number of tomatoes in early spring for those die-hard, &#034;Gotta have the first tomato in my neighborhood&#034; gardeners. In the past, when we do not make these available in March, we&#039;ve heard -- loudly -- from those who say they want them and will care for them with protection. So that everyone can be happy, you see a few out now. Thank you for educating your readers that if you aren&#039;t using frost protection or potting in containers that you bring in each night, these are to be planted when the nights are warmer.
